The emotional value compared to act-settings
Emotions are defined in a matrix with the dimensions luck/unluck and empathy/indifference. The two values that can be defined stand for the subject (actor) and object (the "thing" to be acted on).
Emotional values evolve over time, therefore they are defined in the act database. Calculating an emotional matching factor uses the material database and the act settings. It does not compare the values horizontally, between the neighbours, but vertically, with the presets for the current act and time.
The matching factor consists of two components: the similarity between the values for subject and object for the current material and the current act at a specific point in time, and the tendency (if for example the difference between subject and object grows over time for both, material and act).
The overall narrative importance of a material
If the material is placed more at the beginning or more to the end, "important" material is preferred. In the middle of a narration, also non-important material is used.
